Take it off, baby

Part 2

Exfoliation is the secret to glowing skin. As we age, skin gets duller. The natural process of cell turnover slows down leaving bumps, visible lines and a general lack of radiance.
You can go old school on this step and use a damp washcloth in circular motions as you wash your face. I prefer a little help.

Philosophy's The Microdelivery wash, $25 is available at qvc.com, sephora and ulta. It has tiny little crystals that buff and polish the skin. I swear after using it the first time my little lines on my forehead looked less prominent.
This product is safe to use daily. I use it 3-4 times a week, in the shower. You are supposed to give your skin a little 1- minute massage and then rinse.
Even though I have tried other products, this is the first one I really liked. Olay is too chemical, and other scrubs have seemed too harsh for my skin. But there are a lot of scrubs out there in all different price ranges, so you can experiment if you don't like my pick.

About once a week, I need a little more. That's when I use Philosophy's Vitamin C peptide peel. First I put the citrusy vitamin c stuff all over my dry skin, then I add the salicylic acid gel and massage it in. It creates a warm feel and works like an in-home mini peel. The 1-ounce size is $40. This is for help with sun damage, wrinkles, dullness. My skin feel so smooth after doing this.

If I had to recommend only one it would be the wash. It's user-friendly and one step is better than two in my book.

Next time: plump it up.
